Concept: Integrate and Transform
The design of this model is bases on the concept of
integrates and transforms, using this two concept to form and create unique
geometry which demonstrate the influence within the model and the characteristics
which related back to the concept. The model is content multiple pieces arrange
with separate floor level which connected with foot paths and stairs, the
purpose behind this is to show the building integrate with the landscape rather
than other way around.
One of the main elements I focus in this model which is use
of curvilinear geometry with irregular form, shape that been stretch and pull
to form the frame of the building. The irregular curve shape is symbolizing the
stage of transform and evolving into a higher stage.
Design Brief
Building Type: Exhibition Centre/ Museum
Function: Collection, Exhibition and Public Areas usages
Client Requirement: To create multi-purpose buildings which
showcase event for exhibition, education programs, lectures and presentations usage.
The Exhibition Centre must capacity over 1000 peoples and the building which
include with multi-access within the site. General public areas facility is
required for visitors.
The building is encouraged to engage and interact with the
landscape environments.

Draft Design Concept
Perspective View
Basic draft concept, my ideas of this design was use of curvilinear to create organic form of geometry, the spheres like objects represent of building.

Week 6 - Comparative Visual analysis
My Nominated Architect in Project 1 is - Morphosis
Building: NYC2012 Olympic Village (2012 Olympic Competition
Entry)
Information
A multi layered, three dimensional urban design which to
emphasizes the interaction between water, landscape, building, and program.
During the Olympics part of the village serve as accommodation and mixed of
commercial use.
Architect: Zaha Hadid
Building: Contemporary Arts Museum (2006
Competition Entry)
Information
the museum as a ‘node of cultural exchanges’ as a structure
which serves as a seaward landmark for the city of Cagliari and , through a
network of public paths, interconnects and shares its public dimension with
urban centre it serves.
The pathways containing communication, contemporary and
Nuragic exhibitions constantly intercept and bisect other public areas, giving
the building a great sense of fluidity and enormous flexibility.
The Concepts and ideas explored in Project 1: Integrates and
Transform
The three dimensional urban design demonstrates the concept
of integrates, building which merge with the surrounding landscape.
The complex form of organic designs demonstrates concept of
transform by use of different size and shape of curvilinear framework, warp
around between vertical and horizontal. In a sense of fusing together into one
piece

Integrates and Transform
Morphosis Architects – Giant Interactive Group headquarters
The Giant Interactive Group headquarters is a complex
multiple functions building in shanghai, China the building has demonstrated great
intelligent design of integrates and fuses with the landscape. The framework of
the building itself drawn interesting contemporary geometry of curvilinear shape, each part of
the building in perspective view itself, it seems like transforming and
evolving into different form of shape.
The concept
of my design is integrates and transform, in my model I was attempt to demonstrated
integrating by composing with different size and shape of curvilinear form of
shape to show warping to fuse with the surround elements.
The top part of the model with the stretched sphere, which divided
into four pieces of pattern to demonstrate the concept of transforming starting
with solid surface and evolved into different pattern of surface.
